A Modern Boho Wedding in Clarksville| Alie + Dan

February 25, 2021

It may have rained all day for this modern boho wedding that took place this past Fall season but it couldn’t have been any more beautiful despite the weather. Playful, romantic, and unique are just the words Alie used to describe her big day and this gorgeous affair hit all of those marks and then some.

Just outside of Nashville in Clarksville, Tennessee Alie and Dan have some family land that they dreamed of getting married on. With the intentional planning of Destiny with Rosewood and Ivey they set out to build an incredible day that reflected all of their favorite things: lovely orange and yellow hues, fabulous Mexican food, and kicking it with their favorite people all night long.

Fun Fact: Alie is the Macaron queen around here as the owner of Thistle Sweets so you better believe the macaron selection was *chef’s kiss* perfection. Link over to her cute little A frame shop if you get a chance!

Every detail of this wedding was intentionally chosen or built by Alie, Dan, and family with the aesthetic in mind that made them the happiest. The teepee structure, Beer tap, bar, and ceremony backdrop were all built and painted by them!

I’m lucky that so many of my couples become friends and their weddings feel a lot more like a good time than a “job” and Alie and Dan’s wedding was no exception to that trend in my life. I truly loved every second of shooting with them even though I was FREEZING in the 40 degrees + rain! Take a peek at some of my favorite moments from this gorgeous modern bohemian Fall wedding day!

Fun Fact: Alie and Dan handmade this backdrop themselves! There was a LOT of painting involved. They also made the outdoor bar AND the wooden teepee structure too!

If your dress isn’t this dirty at the end of the night, did you even party?!
